On December 5, Australian regional exporters that have excelled in building international trade relations and growth were recognised at the 55th Australian Export Awards ceremony.
“Australia’s regional exporters play an important role in supporting the success of our agricultural, fisheries and forestry exports, which were valued at over $50 billion in 2016–17,” said Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, Luke Hartsuyker.
“The Australian Export Awards honour innovative business operators who are going above and beyond to promote our high-quality produce and products to overseas buyers.”

The awards covered both the agriculture and viticulture sectors. The top prize winner of the night was Premium Fresh Tasmania, however South Australian Winery, Mollydooker Wines were named as one of eight finalists.
“It takes hard work and grit to build sustainable international trade links, and each of the finalists and winners has demonstrated extraordinary talent to succeed in a highly competitive global market,” he said.
All eight finalists for this year’s Regional Exporter award were:
- Dynamics G-Ex Pty Ltd – Queensland
- Riverina Oils & BioEnergy – New South Wales
- TelSoft – Australian Capital Territory
- Safescape – Victoria
- Premium Fresh Tasmania – Tasmania
- Mollydooker Wines – South Australia
- Fewster’s Farm Honey – Western Australia
- Ekistica – Northern Territory
