The 2017 results for the second Halliday Australian Cabernet Challenge have been released. The competition was judged in conjunction with the Langton’s Margaret River Wine Show earlier in November.
James Halliday announced the regional results and full results which are now available to view at http://www.australiancabernetchallenge.com.au.
The number of wine regions represented increased from 28 to 31 with 9 regions providing a regional winner, an increase from only 6 last year.
Cabernet Sauvignon of all vintages were eligible and judged anonymously by region in a blind tasting.
Wines achieving a Gold score of 95 points and over were selected to determine the best of region wine, then each regional winners was judged again for the Trophy.
